My daughter decided one day to "color", using a Sharpie permanent marker. Of course, not all the marks stayed on the page, they landed on her desk. I used Thieves Cleaner. I started by applying it straight, rubbing it until stops coming up. If you need to make it more abrasive, add a scoop of kosher salt. I then let it sit in more cleaner. Every 15 minutes I would come back and start rubbing again until it stopped coming up. I continued doing this until it eventually came up and completely disappeared! Amazing !!
