Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

On April 22, my best friend's kitten suddenly took ill. He was 7 months old and is a munchkin which is a registered breed of cat. We were outside gardening, by the time we came in it was awful to look at him!

He was walking around crooked and could not lift his head, he was not eating or drinking at all. It looked almost like his neck was broken and he just stumbled around. Maybe he had a stroke, we just didn't know. He couldn't even lay down normal... it was so sad!

We rushed him to the vet first thing on April 23. The vet told my friend he thought it was a virus attacking his brain or inner ears, but without some very expensive blood work he would not know for sure.

My friend, being on a fixed income could not afford $300 or more for these tests. The vet advised her not to even waste her money because he felt it was just too late and gave her an antibiotic and sent her home. The vet said, "Just make life comfortable for him." One friend told her she was cruel for not having Bailey put down!!!.

On the drive home, I told her "Baloney! If it is a virus, I have oils for that so don't worry!!" I got out my essential oils reference book, looked up Bailey's problems (digesting his food, virus, maybe a bacteria) and picked oils.

I had the Thieves, DiGize and Melrose oil blends. I put about 3-4 drops of each oil in a cup and then added about 20 drops of V-6. I told my friend to put the mixture on his paws at least 3x a day.

In 3 days he was eating, in 4 days his appetite was completely back and he was eating and drinking all alone plus he was now holding his head up high and not walking crooked any longer! By day 5... he was running and jumping back up on the furniture no longer hiding away in his pet taxi!

By day 7, he was completely back to normal. On May 5, she took Bailey back for a check-up and the vet almost fell over when he walked into the exam room and seen Bailey. He asked her "What have you been giving him?" (He knew it was NOT the antibiotic that saved him!) She told him my friend has these therapeutic essential oils.

Now the vet has signed up with his own kit because he is so blown away by Bailey's change in such a short period of time. Oh, and the best part... for the first time since she has had Bailey, he finally gained weight... 9 oz during that 2 week period of time! Something he has NEVER done and the vet was always concerned about it!

The vet told my friend, "Don't stop whatever you are doing!"

Supporting Scientific Studies
1.Associated topics: virus — "The presence of beta-caryophyllene in many essential oils might contribute strongly to their antiviral ability. These results indicate that phenylpropanoids and sesquiterpenes present in essential oils contribute to their antiviral activity against HSV [herpes simplex virus]."Link
2.Associated topics: virus — "Taken together, we found an essential oil blend [Orange, Clove, Cinnamon Bark, Eucalyptus, and Rosemary] notably attenuates influenza virus PR8 infection in vitro via inhibition of viral protein synthesis at the post-transcription level. The lack of toxicity and potent specific inhibition ability make the essential oil a possible antiviral drug for influenza virus proliferation control and treatment."Link
3.Associated topics: virus — "Tea tree oil (TTO) (Melaleuca alternifolia) has been used recently as an effective topical application for the treatment of skin infections due to a variety of aetiological microbial agents, including mainly bacterial infections. We detail... the successful treatment with TTO of a paediatric patient with warts on her right middle finger. TTO was applied topically once daily to the lesions for 12 days, with a successful outcome, including complete re-epithelization of the infected areas. The case highlights the potential use of TTO in the treatment of common warts due to human papilloma virus."Link
4.Associated topics: virus — "Essential oils from anise, hyssop, thyme, ginger, camomile and sandalwood were screened for their inhibitory effect against herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) [genital herpes]. A clearly dose-dependent virucidal activity against HSV-2 could be demonstrated for all essential oils tested. Chamomile oil exhibited a high selectivity index and seems to be a promising candidate for topical therapeutic application as virucidal agents for treatment of herpes genitalis."Link
