Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

One summer afternoon, my children and I were enjoying the weather in our backyard. I noticed my 3 year old playing with a bug or something from afar. All of a sudden, he jumped and screamed.

I couldn't see what it was, so I went over and asked him some questions. This is difficult in a 3 year old! He insisted it was not a bee, so I looked up a picture of a hornet on the Internet and asked him if that was what 'bit' him. He seemed to indicate 'yes'.

I immediately put on some of the Purification oil blend, and then rubbed in some Rose Ointment. I then had to put his 2 younger siblings down for a nap.

Fifteen minutes later, I got back to him and noticed that his sting had swollen quite a bit and looked painful. I realized that I should not have put on Rose Ointment, since it locks in the oil and what I needed Purification to do in this case was DRAW OUT the venom.

I washed off his finger, and then reapplied Purification oil. I also used an icepack for a little bit, because the swelling was so extreme. The bite was on the joint of his pinkie finger. We sat on the couch and read a book for 15 minutes, and every 2 minutes I applied a couple more drops. Then it was time for his nap.

When he awoke 1.5 hours later, there was NO SIGN of the bite.

I asked if it hurt, and he said no, and then -- not believing him -- I rubbed my finger across where the bite had been, and he showed no signs of pain.

Amazing!

Supporting Scientific Studies
1.Associated topics: swelling-/-swollen-/-puffy — "[W]e studied the anti-inflammatory and gastroprotective effects of C. citratus [Lemongrass] and E. citriodora [Lemon Eucalyptus] essential oils on formol-induced edema and acetic acid induced abdominal cramps in Wistar rats.... In vivo analysis and histological assay showed that the two essential oils displayed significant dose-dependent edema [swelling] inhibition effect over time. They displayed strong analgesic [pain-relieving] and antipyretic [fever-reducing] properties similar to that induced by 50 mg/kg of acetylsalicylate of lysine.... This work demonstrates the anti-inflammatory property of Cymbopogon citratus [Lemongrass] and Eucalyptus citriodora [Lemon Eucalyptus], suggesting their potential role as adjuvant therapeutic alternatives in dealing with inflammatory-related diseases."Link

Thujaplicin and hinokitiol (the major component of Aomori Hiba [Hinoki]) also showed clear antibacterial activity against Legionella pneumophila SG 1 and L. pneumophila SG 3 [Legionnaires disease, pneumonia].... This compound showed strong insecticidal activity against Reticulitermes speratus [termites], and it also had clear acaricidal [ticks, mites] activity against Dermatophagoides farinae [house dust mites].... [T]he strong cytotoxic effect of Thujaplicin on murine P388 lymphocytic leukemia cell line [CLL, chronic lymphocytic leukemia] should be emphasized...."Link
3.Associated topics: bite-/-sting — "Topical 5% tea tree oil is an effective treatment for mild to moderate acne vulgaris.... Tea tree oil has broad-spectrum antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory activity in vitro. These properties have formed the basis of its use in the treatment of a range of superficial dermatoses such as cuts, insect bites, boils, and dermatophytosis [ringworm]."Link
