Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

When I started using oils, my husband was supportive, but did not really like most of the smells. One night he was playing basketball and came down really hard on his ankle. It was getting worse by the time he got home with the bruising and swelling.

I was still new to using oils. I got out my essential oils reference book and read about what to do. He laid down on the bed. I propped his foot up on a pillow. While he slept off and on, I applied a few drops of each of Peppermint, along with the Relieve It and PanAway oil blends about every thirty minutes to an hour all night long along with an ice pack.

In the morning there was no swelling and he could walk. This made a believer out of him about the power of the oils. He knew there was no way he should have been able to walk the next morning. He knew how hard he had come down on his ankle.

Next he put on his shoes, went outside and worked in the yard all day. He thanked me for knowing what to do to help him.

I was grateful that I could help.

swelling-/-swollen-/-puffy - "[W]e studied the anti-inflammatory and gastroprotective effects of C. citratus [Lemongrass] and E. citriodora [Lemon Eucalyptus] essential oils on formol-induced edema and acetic acid induced abdominal cramps in Wistar rats.... In vivo analysis and histological assay showed that the two essential oils displayed significant dose-dependent edema [swelling] inhibition effect over time. They displayed strong analgesic [pain-relieving] and antipyretic [fever-reducing] properties similar to that induced by 50 mg/kg of acetylsalicylate of lysine.... This work demonstrates the anti-inflammatory property of Cymbopogon citratus [Lemongrass] and Eucalyptus citriodora [Lemon Eucalyptus], suggesting their potential role as adjuvant therapeutic alternatives in dealing with inflammatory-related diseases."Link
