One Saturday my family was at a Cub Scout Pinewood Derby. Having four boys we had done this many times. There was a new cub scout who had not raced a car before. He did not know to put weights on his car to help it race better.
My husband was trying to help him by taking some weights off of an old car of ours and fixing his car before the race. All my husband had was a pocket knife to use as a screwdriver.
As luck would have it, he sliced his index finger really badly. It was deep and it was bleeding. I had just completed an essential oils class and learned that Idaho Balsam Fir was great for stopping bleeding. But I did not have a bottle with me.
I remembered that I did have a bottle of the Believe oil blend in my purse. I tracked down my husband. A friend had taken him to the bathroom to try and stop the bleeding, but it would not quit. My husband was coming to find me to go to the hospital for stitches.
I poured three drops of Believe onto his finger and before our eyes, his finger stopped bleeding and closed over. It was an amazing sight to see. I put a couple more drops of Believe on a band aid and put it on his finger just for good measure. I did not need to do that, though, because it did not bleed any more.
I was so grateful to have my little bottle of Believe and know what to do to save us a trip to the emergency room.
