Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

I recently listened to one of the old training tapes, and Gary Young said the Aroma Life oil blend on the heart, followed by the Joy oil blend, to help the heart and stop the trauma from imprinting there. I thought that sounded pretty neat.

I have been working with a friend who's 89 year old mother just lost her sweetheart of 67 years. Mom's congestive heart failure was being severely taxed by bronchitis and the overwhelming grief. She could not grieve and every time she cried her lungs would fill up. (Lungs being the area where deep grief and joy are held).

In general, breathing was labored, she couldn't sleep, her legs were filled with edema. The doctor wanted her hospitalized, but this sweet lady just wanted to be home with her daughter. They had never used oils, and Mom wasn't up for meeting anyone new at the time, so I gave them the Valor oil blend to place on her feet.

The RC oil blend was massaged on top of it and a warm towel wrap applied. I left a diffuser with Eucalyptus Radiata which helped her breath and sleep right away.

When we experience trauma, we often feel disconnected and ungrounded, literally unplugged from those dynamic life forces in the ground and universe. No doubt the chakras have closed shut. To work with a person's feet, especially the elderly, helps them ground and fill up again. It often helps them be steadier and more connected to the feet as well.

My friend's mother brightened up ten shades from just the first treatment. She slept deeply for 5 hours and awoke feeling refreshed and hopeful. It was just as helpful to her daughter who also regained her color and brightness. The daughter had been quite grey in color and energy and her emotions had felt "flat lined."

A little Valor on her feet, and Lemon on her hands to inhale brought her right back! I also left some Lemon for her to diffuse knowing that would begin to ease the mother's depression.

My friend marveled that 12 hours earlier, her mother was in such a state as to need hospitalization, and yet now she was full of life again and quickly recovering. Her edema had lessened significantly as well.

The next day I happened to listen to that tape, so we have intended to visit again when I would apply the Aroma Life and Joy and do a Vita Flex session on mother's feet, but for the moment, we are operating on what she seems to want and when. She's doing fine and I'll probably be invited back in the next week or so. They also want to begin supporting the CHF in general.

Supporting Scientific Studies
1.Associated topics: breathing-/-inhale,lungs-/-pulmonary — "In confirming the presence of peripheral airways dysfunction in nonsmokers with uncomplicated common colds, our data imply that the changes can be modified favorably by short-term aromatics inhalation."Link
2.Associated topics: emotions-/-feelings — "The present study indicated that lavender aromatherapy as a potential therapeutic modality could alleviate premenstrual emotional symptoms, which, at least in part, is attributable to the improvement of parasympathetic nervous system activity. This study further implies that HRV could evaluate the efficacy of aromatherapy using various fragrances to relieve premenstrual symptoms, and ultimately, support the mind and body health of women."Link
3.Associated topics: breathing-/-inhale,lungs-/-pulmonary — "Cineole has mucolytic, bronchodilating and anti-inflammatory properties and reduces the exacerbation rate in patients suffering from COPD, as well as ameliorates symptoms in patients suffering from asthma and rhinosinusitis.... The effects of Cineole in the treatment of acute bronchitis were clearly measurable and could be proven after a treatment period of merely 4 days. This study corroborates the fact that Cineole actively and significantly reduces cough frequency after four days."Link
4.Associated topics: depression-/-sadness-/-hopelessness-/-sorrow — "After inhalation of clary sage oil, cortisol levels were significantly decreased.... Thyroid stimulating hormone was also reduced.... Clary sage oil has antidepressant-like effect...."Link

6.Associated topics: edema-/-water-retention-/-dropsy — "[W]e studied the anti-inflammatory and gastroprotective effects of C. citratus [Lemongrass] and E. citriodora [Lemon Eucalyptus] essential oils on formol-induced edema and acetic acid induced abdominal cramps in Wistar rats.... In vivo analysis and histological assay showed that the two essential oils displayed significant dose-dependent edema [swelling] inhibition effect over time. They displayed strong analgesic [pain-relieving] and antipyretic [fever-reducing] properties similar to that induced by 50 mg/kg of acetylsalicylate of lysine.... This work demonstrates the anti-inflammatory property of Cymbopogon citratus [Lemongrass] and Eucalyptus citriodora [Lemon Eucalyptus], suggesting their potential role as adjuvant therapeutic alternatives in dealing with inflammatory-related diseases."Link
