Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

My husband and I became Young Living members in 1998. Ever since we sniffed our first bottle of oil, we were hooked. We knew we'd hit upon something exceptional that would benefit ourselves as well as others. Our life altering experience with these oils didn't occur until February of 2003.

It was at that time that we decided to build a business with Young Living. We had our sponsor teach a class in our home on a Friday night. Mac, our 10 year old Akita, thought the party was for him. He bounced and danced around showing off for all our friends. Once the class started, he settled down to enjoy the aroma of the oils wafting throughout our home.

The next day, my husband noticed that Mac's energy level was on the low side-something extremely unusual for him. By Sunday, Mac was basically incapacitated to the point where he wasn't even able to get up to go out and relieve himself. He was literally dead weight. We took him to his regular vet on Monday where they felt there wasn't anything they could do for him. They'd taken chest X-rays and found a dark mass pressing against his left lung which was also stressing his heart.

They suggested that we take him to an internist and gave him drugs which they knew weren't going to do anything for him. The vets felt so bad for him that they just wanted to do something.

After a biopsy from the veterinary internist, she was all but 100% positive that the dark mass was cancer. Not only that, but he had primary cardiac disease. We also discovered that Mac went from 100 pounds down to 89 pounds.

I immediately called my upline sponsor and asked her about her holistic vet. Dr Deb Rykoff had us come in at her earliest available time slot. She had Mac taking oils internally as well as externally along with other supplements, chiropractic and acupuncture to support him.
To make a long story short, Mac was bouncing around 2 weeks later as if nothing ever happened. Since then, he's had a couple of 'slow days' that haven't lasted more than 3-4 days at a time. We've changed some of his oils and he still loves having them massaged onto his ears.

While he trots comfortably on his daily walks, it has me running to keep up behind him. He's back to his 'fighting weight' of 100 pounds and is the strong, energetic, happy and loving dog that we've always had. All we can say is thank God for these lifesaving oils! I truly believe that Mac wouldn't still be with us without them.

Addendum as of 8/19/04: Mac went to Dr. Deb today for vaccine exemption. She said his heart was fine. No problems! We're going to up his intake on NingXia Red juice, start him on Mineral Essence, Multigreens and Sulfurzyme.

It looks like we're going to be celebrating his 12th birthday on September 17th!

Supporting Scientific Studies
1.Associated topics: cancer — Frankincense and myrrh showed anticancer effects.Link
2.Associated topics: puppy-/-dog-/-canine — "Idiopathic vestibular syndrome is the most common cause of peripheral vestibular disease in dogs and, despite its dramatic clinical presentation, can improve without intervention."Link
3.Associated topics: cancer — "Local application of frankincense essential oil may provide a non-surgical treatment alternative, with no or minimal side effect for carcinoma in situ, minimally invasive carcinoma and pre-cancerous conditions such as actinic keratosis."Link
4.Associated topics: cancer — "DHEA [a component of PD 80/20], an androstene hormone [precursor to estrogen, testosterone, progesterone, cortisone, and other hormones], has been shown to possess a wide range of beneficial biological effects mainly attributed to immune system modulation.... thus leading to beneficial effects in diverse human diseases including resistance to infection, neuroprotection, wound healing, diabetes, hepatic injury, cardiovascular disease, and cancer."Link
5.Associated topics: cancer — "Many plant extracts that protect against the development of oxidative stress manifest clear antilithiasic activity [preventing the formation of or relieving the symptoms of kidney stones].... Evidence obtained to date supports a contributory role of polyphenols [present in essential oils] in the prevention of cardiovascular disease, some cancer types, and osteoporosis.... The results show an improvement of the renal function in some treated groups with an increase of diuresis and creatinine excretion due to polyphenols pretreatment. Our results clearly validate the ability of polyphenols to protect against papillary calcification of kidney tissue, consequently preventing the development of papillary calculi [kidney stones].... The collective findings to date support a protective effect of polyphenols on kidney tissue. Thus, considering that injury of papillary tissue constitutes the first step in the development of COM papillary calculi, the antioxidant action of polyphenols may contribute significantly to their antilithiasic action."Link
6.Associated topics: cancer — "D-limonene is one of the most common terpenes in nature. It is a major constituent in several citrus oils.... Being a solvent of cholesterol, d-limonene has been used clinically to dissolve cholesterol-containing gallstones. Because of its gastric acid neutralizing effect and its support of normal peristalsis, it has also been used for relief of heartburn and gastroesophageal reflux (GERD). D-limonene has well-established chemopreventive activity against many types of cancer. Evidence from a phase I clinical trial demonstrated a partial response in a patient with breast cancer and stable disease for more than six months in three patients with colorectal cancer."Link

Thujaplicin and hinokitiol (the major component of Aomori Hiba [Hinoki]) also showed clear antibacterial activity against Legionella pneumophila SG 1 and L. pneumophila SG 3 [Legionnaires disease, pneumonia].... This compound showed strong insecticidal activity against Reticulitermes speratus [termites], and it also had clear acaricidal [ticks, mites] activity against Dermatophagoides farinae [house dust mites].... [T]he strong cytotoxic effect of Thujaplicin on murine P388 lymphocytic leukemia cell line [CLL, chronic lymphocytic leukemia] should be emphasized...."Link
