Hobo Or Recluse Spider Bite

Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Several years ago I was visiting with some friends and the top of my foot began to itch. Thinking it was a mosquito bite I scratched it with the sole of my other foot. When it continued to itch I put some Lavender essential oil on it.

A few minutes later I noticed the skin on the top of my foot had peeled off of that spot (about the size of a dime). My first thought was "boy, I must really need a pedicure"; my second thought was "what a strange mosquito bite".

Over the next 12 days or so I used Lavender, Frankincense, the Purification oil blend and basically any essential oil I happened to be near and covered it with a salve I had made. I had been using the Rose Ointment but did not have that at the time.

Several months later I was taking my 1st Aid/CPR instructor training and saw a flier on Recluse and Hobo Spiders. I commented that I wondered if that was actually what had bitten me. The instructor came over to look at my foot, pressed on the spot and said "oh my, it is occluded under there, you are so lucky, you go to a doctor right away and get on a strong anti-biotic"!!

I said, "Oh, I never went to the doctor, I used my essential oils.". She turned and walked away from me - not wanting to hear ANYTHING that I had to say.

I feel truly blessed to have my essential oils and pray that those with closed minds will someday have them opened. I still have my foot. The scar faded and finally disappeared.
