Since going through menopause, I've had constant insomnia, continuously waking around 3:00 a.m. and not going back to sleep. I could rarely get to sleep without medication of some sort. I did finally go on HRT to deal with the hot flashes and insomnia, but I continued to have problems with insomnia. Since using the combination below, I almost always fall asleep easily and stay asleep until around 6:00 a.m.

I put Vetiver and Harmony on the bottom of both feet and toes -- 3 drops each, mixed with a bit of V-6 oil. I put a drop of Peace & Calming across my shoulders. Any oils remaining on my hands, I rub on my wrists and around my head and neck. When I lie down, I breathe in the oils from my hands for a couple breaths. Then, it's off to dreamland I go. Stretching a bit before bed also helps with getting to sleep.

Vetiver is very thick, so I mix it 1/2 & 1/2 with V-6 oil and keep the mix in a separate bottle. Mixed this way, it is still thicker than most oils, so I add a bit more V-6 to the drops that I put on my feet to help spread it in.
