Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

Approximately two years ago my Father's retina detached so he underwent surgery. After a year with no improvement in sight, his doctor recommended a second surgery, but warned that there was a less than 50% chance of any further improvement. My father could barely see out of his left eye and had a large black spot covering most of his vision -- he could only read the first row of the eye chart but nothing else.

After his vision appointment in January, he was disappointed but decided against surgery. I asked him to try some quality essential oils to see if that would help. He agreed so I made up a roll-on of the following oils which I combined with a carrier oil and some vitamin E oil. I came up with this list after doing my own research, and concluded these were the most highly recommended for eye health improvement.

* 30 drops of Frankincense
* 30 drops of Lavender
* 15 drops of Cypress
* 15 drops of Lemongrass

I asked him to circle his eye above the eyebrow and just below the eye on the bone 2x a day with this homemade oil blend. I cautioned him to NEVER actually put these oils in his eye or too close.

It is now April, and in his follow-up appointment he could read 3 rows on the eye chart, is starting to be able to distinguish colors, and the black spot is smaller with less fuzzy edges. What a huge blessing this has been! I'm excited that the oils are helping improve his vision!

Again I want to stress over and over that eyes should never come in direct contact with oils.

The team found that carnosic acid protects retinas from degeneration and toxicity.... Their findings suggest that carnosic acid may have clinical applications for the outer retina, including age-related macular degeneration."Link
