I had a large abscess-type spot appear on my face on a Saturday. By Monday it was so out of control that I called and got in to my doctor that same day. He confirmed that it was a staph infection known as MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus).
The doctor gave me a super strong antibiotic, along with some strong probiotics to take two hours after each antibiotic dose. He stressed how compromised my immune system would be. He also was adamant that the MRSA would most likely return.
Last month, almost a year since the first episode, it truly did return! After about 12 hours, I was certain that it was indeed MRSA. This time I found therapeutic-grade essential oils, did some research, and jumped in with both feet!
I took a gelatin capsule (that I call my antibiotic capsule) several times a day, consisting of the following essential oils:
2 drops Frankincense
6 drops Oregano
12 drops Thieves blend
I also applied to the location several essential oils throughout the day, including Lemongrass, Oregano, Frankincense, and Tea tree. Let me stress the importance of a carrier oil since some of these essential oils can be hot and uncomfortable.
After topical application of the oils, I had a sensation of movement at the location of the abscess. I guess it was draining! The hard "core" of the abscess began to decrease in size. Also, the improvement was much faster than the time before when I used the doctor-prescribed antibiotic!
At this point, there is no sign that MRSA had ever been present! I had no need of taking a probiotic to counteract these essential oils. Unlike traditional antibiotics, the oils only killed the bad germ, not the good!
This experience has convinced me of the effectiveness and safe use of therapeutic-grade essential oils. These essential oils will always be in our home, just in case!
