Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

I have battled chronic sinus problems for most of my adult life. Thanks to learning about essential oils, now I rarely get an infection. But every once in a while I succumb to a bad one.

Such was the case about a month ago. I tried my normal protocol to try to knock it out:

1. Taking Thieves essential oil blend and Oregano essential oil orally in a veggie capsule twice daily (6 drops of each plus 6 drops of coconut or V-6 oil).
2. Diffusing Thieves essential oil blend inside my home.
3. Rinsing my sinuses with Rosemary and Tea Tree essential oils twice daily.

The above routine will normally rid me of the infection within just a few days, but this time it was not helping.

I gave in and went to my doctor for a round of antibiotics. I completed taking the prescription, and still the infection lived on!

My doctor wanted to put me on a second round of antibiotics, trying something even stronger. However, I do not like taking meds at all and really hated the thought of putting more antibiotics in my system.

Before starting that second prescription, I decided to follow some advice from a friend. In a glass nasal-spray bottle, I mixed the following:

* Distilled water
* Tsp. of Sea salt
* 6 drops Frankincense essential oil
* 6 drops Lavender essential oil

I used this mixture religiously every 2 hours (spraying it in each nostril). In just two days the infection was completely gone!

I learned not only a new sinus remedy from this experience but also learned to not give up so easily. If one essential oil remedy is not working, simply try another!

UPDATE: I have now tried adding 2 drops of each Lavender and Frankincense (along with a premixed packet of salt) into my nasal irrigator bottle. I do this when I see evidence of infection coming on. It knocks it out!
