Warning: Not all essential oil brands are the same quality. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that the oil you are using is made from pesticide-free plants grown in optimal conditions. Also, the brand should be a 100% pure, high-quality essential oil that does not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask trusted friends to find a brand that is reputable.
There is this awful virus that once went around our family for two months. My husband still gets it every couple of months, but we have found that therapeutic-grade essential oils help him to kick it way faster.
What happens is he starts burping up a nasty, rotten-egg smell. Then the virus proceeds to rip his bowels and stomach apart with constant vomiting and diarrhea.
So first we diffuse Thieves essential oil blend and also apply it to the bottoms of his feet. Next we apply Peppermint essential oil on his tummy and then have him ingest it.
At first my husband tried putting the Peppermint oil straight in his mouth, but the potency of the oil made him vomit. So now we don't do that. Instead we just put the Peppermint essential oil in a capsule or in his drink. This helps my husband a lot.
We are going to get DiGize essential oil blend to help too but have not bought it yet. So for now we just use what we have, and it works fine. Instead of being out for three days, my husband is only down for 12 hours.

|1.||"Taken together, we found an essential oil blend [Orange, Clove, Cinnamon Bark, Eucalyptus, and Rosemary (most components of Thieves blend)] notably attenuates influenza virus PR8 infection in vitro via inhibition of viral protein synthesis at the post-transcription level. The lack of toxicity and potent specific inhibition ability make the essential oil a possible antiviral drug for influenza virus proliferation control and treatment."||Link|
|2.||"Ginger root reduced the tendency to vomiting and cold sweating significantly better than placebo did.... Remarkably fewer symptoms of nausea and vertigo were reported after ginger root ingestion...."||Link|
|3.||"Essential oils from anise, hyssop, thyme, ginger, camomile and sandalwood were screened for their inhibitory effect against herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) [genital herpes]. A clearly dose-dependent virucidal activity against HSV-2 could be demonstrated for all essential oils tested. Chamomile oil exhibited a high selectivity index and seems to be a promising candidate for topical therapeutic application as virucidal agents for treatment of herpes genitalis."||Link|
|4.||"The presence of beta-caryophyllene in many essential oils might contribute strongly to their antiviral ability. These results indicate that phenylpropanoids and sesquiterpenes present in essential oils contribute to their antiviral activity against HSV [herpes simplex virus]."||Link|
