Warning: Not all essential oil brands are the same quality. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that the oil you are using is made from pesticide-free plants grown in optimal conditions. Also, the brand should be a 100% pure, high-quality essential oil that does not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask trusted friends to find a brand that is reputable.

I have been experimenting with Thieves Household Cleaner in a variety of strengths to see what will be the optimal concentration to knock out pet odors in the yard.

I have found that a minimum of 4 ounces in a 32-ounce bottle of water is a good ratio. Urine spots and odors are taken care of, and it seems that the grass recovers from yellowing more quickly, too.

A greater concentration of Thieves Household Cleaner can be used on those really foul piles of poop. This keeps the flies off for a while as well.

Of course the best defense is to pick up the dog poo. Otherwise it will be breeding the very flies that will be at your next barbecue.
