When I had a severe sinus infection, the 5-day antibiotic pack and steroid shot left me with hearing loss and damage to my ears.
After the ENT (ear, nose, and throat) doctor wanted to fit me for hearing aids at the age of 35, I asked if I could wait a few weeks and try natural remedies.
I used 2 to 4 drops of Ledum, Helichrysum and the Melrose essential oil blend behind my ears and down my neck for two weeks. I was careful to place the oils not directly in my ear but on the outer part of my ear and right at the ear canal opening. I also removed all dairy from my diet.
Within two weeks I returned to the ENT and passed the hearing test better than ever before. I did not require hearing aids! The holes in my eardrums had even been resolved from former visits long before the visit two weeks ago.
