Warning: Not all essential oil brands are the same quality. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that the oil you are using is made from pesticide-free plants grown in optimal conditions. Also, the brand should be a 100% pure, high-quality essential oil that does not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask trusted friends to find a brand that is reputable.

The door to my building's trash compactor room is very heavy and noisy. Because it was late in the evening, I put my hand in the door to cushion the noise -- a very stupid thing to do! The door slammed on my middle finger, causing me to "see stars".

I rushed into the house and ran cold water on my finger, hoping to ease the discomfort. It did not help. Then I remembered how miraculously Lavender essential oil had helped for burns; so I decided to see if it would be effective for mashed fingers as well.

I put several drops of Lavender on the nail first and then rubbed the remainder on the tip of my finger. Shortly thereafter I forgot about my finger because the discomfort was gone.

I looked later and realized that I did not even have a "black-and-blue" mark on the finger, which I was expecting as a result of being bruised. I put one more application of Lavender oil on the fingernail and fingertip before retiring for the night.

My finger was completely normal the next day. I always keep Lavender for burns in my kitchen cupboard and am so glad that I do! Now I have one more reason to keep spare bottles of Lavender on hand.

Oh, the wonders of Young Living's therapeutic-grade Lavender essential oil! I am not sure if any old Lavender oil would have worked as effectively. Praise the Lord for the existence of these natural remedies.
"Lavender aromatherapy in volunteers... significantly reduced the pain intensity of needle insertion."
