Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

I originally got interested in essential oils as a way to help my son cope with some of the reactions he was having to being overstimulated by sounds. He was hypersensitive to auditory input and under-responsive to both vestibular and proprioceptive input.

When my son was about 2.5 years old, we started him with both occupational therapy (OT) and physical therapy (PT). During this time we began using diluted Peace & Calming essential oil blend on his feet before naptime and bedtime.

Within the first few weeks, we noticed that my son was handling new and chaotic situations a lot more smoothly. I have no doubt that Peace & Calming helped support my son's emotional needs when he would have normally felt overwhelmed by his sensory processing.

The other essential oil we have used (but not as consistently) is the Valor blend, which my son seems to have a positive response to as well. We still use the Peace & Calming blend every day, and my son's progress has continued. Essential oils are a part of my son's life now, and, although he is just 3.5 years old, he asks for the oils if we ever forget to use them!
