Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

I was diagnosed with a mild case of shingles on Thursday and was shingles free by Monday, thanks to the antiviral prescription from my doctor, acupuncture, chiropractic, energy healing work, and the Raindrop Technique. During all of this, essential oils helped me deal with the uncomfortable symptoms.

I applied the following essential oils directly on the blisters and uncomfortable swollen areas 3 to 5 times per day:

* Diluted Oregano
* Diluted Peppermint
* Lavender oil

To the bottom of my feet, I applied a blend of 2 ounces of almond oil with 10 drops of each of the following essential oils 3 times per day:

* Lavender
* Lemon
* Thyme

I also applied diluted Ravintsara essential oil on the "spine" area of my feet 3 times per day. (In reflexology, the spine reflex points follow the line of the inside edge of the foot.)

The shingles soreness was concentrated in my left jaw/ear area. I used one drop of Oregano essential oil neat (undiluted) inside my mouth in that area near my jaw. I did this about 4 times total, 2 times per day.

I received the Raindrop Technique massage on Friday after the diagnosis. Following the Raindrop Technique, I slept for a few hours. I could feel it working.

Shingles is not something to take lightly -- especially because mine was on my head, which can affect vision and hearing in the worst cases.

I am so thankful for all of the resources that I had... especially my essential oils.
