Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

I was bitten by a white-tailed spider (AKA white-tail spider or white-tipped spider), and after four days the area appeared to be ulcerating.

I read that Basil essential oil may help to stimulate a natural release of the venom; so I started to apply that, and immediately the area started to weep. I also applied the Thieves essential oil blend around the bite area just as a safeguard against any possible germs that might try spreading.

Additionally I used Lavender essential oil to curb the burning sensation and the terrible itch. I was also ingesting 4 drops of Tangerine essential oil daily, as I had read that it could be good for calming any reaction mounted by my body in response to the spider bite.

In a little over a week, the whole area had completely returned to normal. I had been told by my doctor -- and various other people who had experienced a white-tailed spider bite -- that the resulting ulceration would never be completely resolved and that at the same time every year I would experience pain. We will see!
