Warning: Not all essential oil brands are the same quality. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that the oil you are using is made from pesticide-free plants grown in optimal conditions. Also, the brand should be a 100% pure, high-quality essential oil that does not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask trusted friends to find a brand that is reputable.

An ostomy is a necessary procedure done to remove all or a portion of the intestines due to an illness such as Crohn's disease (CD), ulcerative colitis (UC), or trauma.

Many ostomates have issues with food occasionally getting blocked or stuck rather than passing through. Blockages can be extremely painful. Many times it is necessary to go to the emergency room (ER) for medical intervention, which can involve medications, infusions, and sometimes insertion of a catheter. Ouch!

I have found that rubbing Peppermint essential oil on the abdomen around the ostomy helps release the blockage. It might not work 100% of the time, but, if it can save a trip to the ER, it is a small miracle!
