My daughter had a mastectomy a number of years ago. Some time after the breast was removed, she had what doctors described as "phantom itching". It drove her to distraction because the source of the itching could not be located.
She scratched the areas affected and even put ice on the areas, but nothing worked. Eventually the itching stopped, and for quite some time it did not reoccur.
This past weekend -- out of nowhere -- my daughter was awakened from her sleep with the phantom itching. She didn't want to disturb my sleep and just walked around hoping it would stop.
As she passed my dining room and smelled Lavender essential oil that my other daughter had been using on her foot for an injury, the itching seemed to subside for a while.
I woke up, and my daughter asked me about the Lavender essential oil. I took the bottle and said, "Just rub it on the area." Her reply was, "If I did that, I would have to use a whole bottle. I am itchy in so many places!" So we decided that the best thing would be to have her breathe it in, which she did.
The itching stopped, she fell asleep, and the itching has not returned since.
Thank you, essential oils! These oils and supplements are the best thing, aside from the Lord Jesus, that has happened to this family.
