My son had an allergic reaction after eating a food item that was reintroduced into his gut rebuilding program. All we heard was a croup-like cough coming from his room.

(I say "croup-like" because we often heard this particular coughing noise whenever my son was diagnosed, many times, as having the croup when he was much younger. Mind you, he will be 8 years old next month! I know, sweet baby!)

Anyway, my husband rubbed my son's chest and feet with Thieves essential oil blend mixed with a carrier oil. A couple of nights later we all had a good night's sleep!
