Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

My kids, like all little ones, are active. They run, jump, and sometimes hurt themselves in the process.

One day my 6-year-old son was playing in our yard, below the windows of our living room. He forgot about the open windows and leaped up from his crouching position on the ground. Naturally his head connected with the lower frame of the window. This resulted in a small gash (less than 1 cm), swelling, and instant bleeding.

He came crying to me, and I immediately layered my Young Living essential oils on the wound:

1. Purification to clean the wound.
2. Lavender to slow down the bleeding and reduce the chance of scarring.
3. Peppermint for relief and to drive in the other oils.

I applied Release on the area of his liver to let him cry out all the emotions he was feeling, followed by Valor on the soles of his feet to give him a sense of strength and calmness.

My son's reaction to the oils was immediate. After the first application, he stopped crying that it was painful, and his sobs became sniffles. The bleeding also stopped, so there was no need for a Band-Aid or bandage.

I repeated this selection of oils another two times in 20-minute intervals. After the third time, he went back to playing outside, completely pain free and forgetting about the incident. There was a slight bump but no signs of a bruise or skin discoloration from blood clotting, etc.

That same evening, both of us only remembered about the wound when I shampooed his hair (using KidScents Shampoo, of course). "Mommy, it hurts a little," was what he said. When I asked him if it hurt when the water or shampoo touched his hair, he replied, "It only hurts when you rub the area too hard!" Okay, so I had to be gentler with shampooing his hair.

The next day he didn't complain of any pain. I tried searching for the wound or the bump but found nothing. I am so grateful to the oils for providing comfort to a toddler for a small head wound.
