Warning: Not all essential oil brands are the same quality. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that the oil you are using is made from pesticide-free plants grown in optimal conditions. Also, the brand should be a 100% pure, high-quality essential oil that does not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask trusted friends to find a brand that is reputable.

We live on a farm, and our cats are farm cats -- meaning they come to be fed and petted, but don't try to pick them up! And it would be nearly impossible to get them into a pet carrier to go to the vet.

We have one male cat who has eyes that mat up pretty badly on occasion and after several days will cough, and soon others start coughing also. They are not administered chemical antibiotics -- they are given Thieves!

This is how I do that. I save bacon grease for this use. Into my cast iron skillet goes 1/2 to 3/4 cup of the grease and 2 to 3 cups of water (never measured). Heat to boiling, add oatmeal, and cook as directed.

I often take any meat or vegetable leftovers from the refrigerator and add them also. The mixture should be sort of thick and gloppy. Cool to lukewarm and add several drops of Thieves; stir and serve.

I am feeding about 10 cats; and of course the 2 dogs need some too, or they feel slighted. Be careful to not add too much Thieves, or they are not eager to eat it.

Within 2 to 3 hours the eyes are looking better, and by the next morning there is no coughing to be heard. I sometimes do 2 days in a row if needed. Certain times of the year this needs to be done more often than others.

After treatment I notice general improvement with their coats if they had been looking a little scruffy too. The cats all seem to feel better after treatment. The dogs seem to feel better too, but since they are larger they would need a larger dose if they were sick.
