My black-headed Caique is almost 19 years old. He is usually a quite active, happy little boy. Last week he started spitting up his food and refused to eat or drink anything for a few days. He had no energy and tried to sleep most of the time.
Not really knowing what was wrong, I checked in Melissa Shelton's Animal Desk Reference for possible answers. There was mention of Crop Infection, so I got out the Frankincense oil. I also thought that, if it was his time to pass on, then Frankincense was also appropriate.
I rubbed 4 drops on the front of my neck, and he tucked himself under my chin. I then put a blanket over him so that he was breathing in the vapors. I had also given him diluted NingXia Red Juice from a dropper.
Finally on the third day he was much better.
I am so thankful for Young Living and these powerful oils!
