Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

Years ago I remember reading about using Valerian tincture to ease gallbladder spasms. While the spasms can range from mild to quite uncomfortable as the gallbladder puckers up under the right ribs, it may also include shoulder pain and, in some cases, heart pounding all night. As my chiropractor put it, "If the gallbladder isn't happy, nothing is happy."

One night while experiencing these symptoms, I reached for the Valerian essential oil and put about 3 drops in a gelcap (less is more with Valerian). For good measure, I added several drops of Peace & Calming. It eased things enough that I slept that night, which is precious in itself.

Healing this gallbladder is an ongoing process for me, but thankfully there is a way to survive the process. In the meantime I must truly avoid foods that irritate it, including nuts, nut butters, eggs, legumes, chocolate, caffeine, dairy, yogurt, coconut oil, etc.

Many, many people are having their gallbladders out. For some, the issue is too far advanced to do otherwise. Please seek advice from the appropriate medical professional of your choice to determine what is best for you.

Being a solvent of cholesterol, d-limonene has been used clinically to dissolve cholesterol-containing gallstones. Because of its gastric acid neutralizing effect and its support of normal peristalsis, it has also been used for relief of heartburn and gastroesophageal reflux (GERD). D-limonene has well-established chemopreventive activity against many types of cancer. Evidence from a phase I clinical trial demonstrated a partial response in a patient with breast cancer and stable disease for more than six months in three patients with colorectal cancer."Link
