Warning: Not all essential oil brands are the same quality. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that the oil you are using is made from pesticide-free plants grown in optimal conditions. Also, the brand should be a 100% pure, high-quality essential oil that does not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask trusted friends to find a brand that is reputable.

No matter what preventative measures I take, my dog regularly gets dog ticks because we spend so much time in the woods. I heard that Purification worked really well at getting ticks to release, but I didn't have any on hand when I found a tick the other night.

I read that Lemon was helpful and tried putting a little on the tick, but it wouldn't release it's bite. Next I tried Peppermint. The tick released in a less than a minute and I gently picked it up with a tissue. No tugging or worrying that part of it was still attached.

The next time she got a tick, I tried Peppermint first (because I wondered if maybe the Lemon had started the release but it didn't happen until I put the Peppermint on) and the tick came right off again. I just put a little bit on my fingertip (not even a full drop, just enough to wet the tip of my finger) and dabbed it on the tick as close as possible to where it was biting my dog.
