Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

I have struggled with depression, anxiety, and emotional distress since I was 16. I am now 24 and in the past year starting using a variety of oils. I purchased the essential oils reference book to help me learn where and what oils to use for my issues.

I began using the Hope and Forgiveness oil blends on auricular points on my ears as directed by the book. I also tried Frankincense (my favorite oil), and Progressence Plus as an alternative to birth control I used to take, all on a daily basis.

Within two weeks, before I even bought a diffuser, I noticed a smoother, more stable mood. I did not have anger spells or lows from depression. I also got through a difficult time between my boyfriend and I by not getting so upset when he did things that were harming our relationship.

I learned to forgive him so much more easily than ever before, talking our issues out. I did not become numb to the situations I was going through, I still had emotions - I cried when I was upset, I got mad when I was lied to. The difference was that I was able to maintain a level of happiness I never would have been able to maintain prior to using these oils.

Progressence Plus I'm sure was a contributor to my more stable mood, as my mood was more erratic the week before my menstrual cycle. This oil blend not only stabilized my emotional distress (or PMS) but it alleviated the awful cramps associated with getting off the pill and has kept my menstrual cycle regular, as I never knew when it would arrive previously.

Although I'm still on anti-depressant medication, I hope to slowly decrease and eventually completely stop using pharmaceutical drugs to ease my depression and anxiety.
