Warning: Not all essential oil brands are the same quality. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that the oil you are using is made from pesticide-free plants grown in optimal conditions. Also, the brand should be a 100% pure, high-quality essential oil that does not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask trusted friends to find a brand that is reputable.

A while back I heard that if you put a drop of Lavender in your mascara it keeps it from getting 'goopy' and preserves the life of it, so I passed that tip along to my mom.

While she was in Honduras she started getting a cold sore. She didn't have any of her oils with her, but she remembered that her mascara had a drop of Lavender in it - so she rubbed some mascara on her lip, let it soak in, and then wiped the black off her lip. She caught the cold sore early on, and after a couple applications it was gone!

This is someone who has had to use prescriptions in the past for cold sores - NOTHING else has worked. And while Lavender might not be the first choice for a cold sore, I think it's a good testimony of the potency of the oils and how much each one of them have to offer.
