Warning: Not all essential oil brands are the same quality. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that the oil you are using is made from pesticide-free plants grown in optimal conditions. Also, the brand should be a 100% pure, high-quality essential oil that does not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask trusted friends to find a brand that is reputable.
I am a licensed massage therapists and am consistently looking for natural alternatives to using chemicals in or around me. Combine this with my sister having a severe skin reaction to a bug spray with DEET a year or so ago, I've been on a mission.
After doing some research I created this recipe combining several I saw online. It's advertised for use on humans, but I have a hosta plant that I'm going to spray it on as well. I'll keep you posted on how that works. So, here's the recipe I used:
Take a spray bottle, 8 oz. or so. Add the following:
10 drops Purification Oil
10 drops Peppermint
Fill bottle half full with filtered or purified water
Fill rest of bottle with Witch Hazel
Stir well and then apply by spraying on exposed skin.
Additional keyword(s) assigned by the editor: bugs, pesticide, mosquito, gants, moths.
