Warning: Not all essential oil brands are the same quality. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that the oil you are using is made from pesticide-free plants grown in optimal conditions. Also, the brand should be a 100% pure, high-quality essential oil that does not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask trusted friends to find a brand that is reputable.
A few years ago one of our horses, a Gypsy, had an accident in the pasture. I am not sure how it happened and fortunately we discovered it while it was still bleeding. We had the vet come out as it appeared to require stitches. The wound was about 9 inches long on her shoulder and quite deep.
The first thing I rushed for was the Lavender oil. I gave some under her nose, and then soaked some on a rag and hung it near the stall I was quarantining her in. She would not let me approach her. Once the vet arrived, he gave a sedative and continued with stitches.
Over the next week I used a few drops of Lavender in some water to clean the area with the stitches as well as around it. It healed up very quickly without further issue to the lacerated area. The hair regrew, and there was no scarring. One cannot tell where the injury was. I did not use the antibiotics the vet gave me.
