Warning: Not all essential oil brands are the same quality. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that the oil you are using is made from pesticide-free plants grown in optimal conditions. Also, the brand should be a 100% pure, high-quality essential oil that does not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask trusted friends to find a brand that is reputable.

Wow! Earaches are painful! I hadn't had one as an adult until I cut several foods out of my diet. I thought I had caught a cold, but realized later that I was detoxing even through my ears. I had cut the top 8 allergens, plus citrus, chocolate, sugar, and artificial ingredients out of my diet to see if my eczema would clear up. It got worse due to the detox (I didn't know about detoxing then or would have gone more slowly.)

My nursing baby had the same detox reaction and we both discovered the blessing of Melrose to relieve our earaches. I put the oil around the outside of our ears, and also diluted it with coconut oil and put it in our ears. The pain relief was amazing!

While Young Living's official position is to not put oils in the ears, I went by Debra Rayburn's guidance in the book Gentle Babies (the recommendation is to use Melrose & Lavender, but I just used Melrose). Melrose is a gentle oil.
