Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

Young Living Peppermint Essential Oil is the number one essential oil I carry with me every where. Plus, I pack it along with my kids when they went off to college. Whenever I or my family became sick, the first thing we would do was put a little Essential Peppermint oil on the tongue or under the tongue. The results were always amazing. Depending how sick you feel, you may need to use it more than once every half hour or so. But it is absolutely wonderful. One time my younger daughter was bitten by a Brown Recluse Spider on her leg. She hadn't told me until her leg was in such pain she could hardly touch it. Plus she told me late at night when we were driving back from a concert. I pulled over and looked to see a hard round, red swelling on her leg. It was as hard as a rock and completely inflamed. The swelling was so hard that there was nothing to drain. I immediately had her put Young Living Peppermint Oil on it (as I had a bottle in my purse). She did that a couple of times until we got home. By the time we got to the house, the hard swollen rock on her leg from the spider bite was draining away. The next day her leg was still slightly draining and the pain was all gone. She used Peppermint oil thru out the day to make sure all infection was gone. Today she only has a small scare from the bite. Young Living Peppermint Oil is a miracle and is a first aide kit in a bottle. If you go on trips or leave the country, remember, don't leave home without the Peppermint Oil - it's Essential!

swelling-/-swollen-/-puffy - "[W]e studied the anti-inflammatory and gastroprotective effects of C. citratus [Lemongrass] and E. citriodora [Lemon Eucalyptus] essential oils on formol-induced edema and acetic acid induced abdominal cramps in Wistar rats.... In vivo analysis and histological assay showed that the two essential oils displayed significant dose-dependent edema [swelling] inhibition effect over time. They displayed strong analgesic [pain-relieving] and antipyretic [fever-reducing] properties similar to that induced by 50 mg/kg of acetylsalicylate of lysine.... This work demonstrates the anti-inflammatory property of Cymbopogon citratus [Lemongrass] and Eucalyptus citriodora [Lemon Eucalyptus], suggesting their potential role as adjuvant therapeutic alternatives in dealing with inflammatory-related diseases."Link
