Warning: Not all essential oil brands are the same quality. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that the oil you are using is made from pesticide-free plants grown in optimal conditions. Also, the brand should be a 100% pure, high-quality essential oil that does not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask trusted friends to find a brand that is reputable.

In the fall of 2009 I had my first opportunity to witness 'first hand' - the healing power of essential oils. I'd been a bit more thorough and conscientious than necessary in cleaning out a soup can for recycling. As I twisted a dish rag inside the can I caught the knuckle below my right thumb on the jagged metal. Yipes. Blood started pouring from the wound.

I ran my hand under the kitchen tap as I contemplated my options: Stitches at the Emergency Room; Drug store ointment and a bandage; That Lavender oil sitting on my kitchen counter.

If I chose the Lavender I imagined the possibility of a future scolding from a medical professional. If the wound were to get infected I could hear a doctor saying to me: "What did you say you put on this cut?!"

Nevertheless, with no time like the present for an experiment, I chose to give the Lavender a try. I'd heard enough good things about it that I was willing to take the risk.

I'm so glad I did! Before the day was even over I could tell that the wound was healing - from the inside out. There was never a hint of redness or infection and that cut healed faster than any wound I'd ever had.

I have the blessing of very good health, so there hasn't been much I've needed to address. I'm actually grateful to have had my encounter with a soup can to have my own live experience of the healing powers of therapeutic grade essential oils. Thank you Young Living!
