Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

On Tuesday, I noticed my ears were a bit clogged up. Not a lot, just a teeny bit. I shrugged it off thinking I was probably imagining things (listen, don't hesitate. you probably aren't imagining things. just some advice.) :O)

The following evening, my sinuses and my throat felt funny. Not painful; just a bit funny. But, thinking I might be able to head off the infection, I gargled with some Thieves, and went to bed.

Well, by morning my throat was so swollen and painful, I could barely talk and definitely couldn't swallow. My husband took one look at me, and said "Wow! Your face is swollen!"

I had a headache, my eyeballs hurt, my sinuses were swollen, and my throat was killing me. I took some ibuprofen and went to work anyway. By the afternoon, with several doses of ibuprofen in me, I was feeling so bad I didn't know how I was going to walk out to the van, and drive home. Thank goodness I have a daughter who can drive!

I got home, got in bed, and turned my electric blanket up on high (it was 80 degrees), and I was still cold, so I knew I had a fever. I tried to sleep it off for a few hours, but nothing was getting better, so I began using my oils.

That evening I took two cayenne/garlic pills, sprayed my throat with two squirts of the Thieves Spray (this immediately numbed my throat so I could swallow), put Thieves around my ears, down my eustachian tubes, and over my sinuses (it stung a bit, so you might want to dilute it. I was feeling horrible, so didn't really care.)

Then I had my daughter give me a Raindrop treatment. As soon as she began putting the oils on my feet, I could feel my body start to relax. When she began putting the oils on my back, the achiness began going away. My skin was really hurting from the fever, but the aches in my spine were easing. She put a moist, hot compress on my back, and I tried my best to relax.

She finished up the Raindrop at about 6:30, and I've been steadily feeling better since. My fever broke (it didn't even do that with the ibuprofen), and now I'm sweating. My throat is much better; I can actually swallow. I still don't feel well, but I feel SO MUCH BETTER than I did before I began using the oils.

I've sprayed my throat with the Thieves Spray again, and I'm going to take another two cayenne/garlic pills. The amazing thing is that as horrible as I was feeling, it only took about two hours for me to improve.

I had a bit of a relapse overnight. Got my fever back, and had a terrible time swallowing. But, I kept up the cayenne/garlic pills, Thieves Spray, and Thieves around my ears, neck, and face. I had another Raindrop treatment in the morning, and used a sinus irrigator with two drops of Thieves.

I've put some RC in my nose, and it makes a huge difference in the swelling. I'm still feeling under the weather, but also still much better than yesterday.

I started feeling SO much better the following Monday afternoon, and I continued to improve each day. My throat is no longer sore, just a bit scratchy. I now feel like I have a mild cold. I'm so relieved! Thank you, oils!
