My husband had a stroke three years ago; the stroke was a result of undiagnosed fibrillation and arrhythmia of his heart muscle. Although he has no plaque in his arteries, the continuous beating of his heart churned up a clot.
At the time of his stroke his heart was only operating at 50% capacity (an "effective heart rate of 30 - 55 is normal) because it was so exhausted. He was put on four medications to stabilize his heart beat to allow it to "recover/build up" so that he could have a procedure called "radio frequency ablation" to remedy the fibrillation. This is only successful in 70% of cases; it was successful in his case, but doctors could not solve the arrhythmia.
Since we had nothing to lose, I got him to try Aroma Life. He rubbed one drop directly over his heart, 2X/day. He was a non-believer in the oils, so he didn't tell me right away when he felt the arrhythmia was gone (his blood pressure monitor indicates when he has arrhythmia and he takes it several times/day).
After one month of using the oils he said "my arrhythmia is gone"... I think that it has been gone for two weeks, but I wanted to make sure. That was a year ago.
Now he tells everyone who has arrhythmia to use essential oils. While we use Aroma Life, I believe that it is the Ylang Ylang in the blend that is useful for arrhythmia.
ANYONE who has had a stroke should use this as a preventative measure.
