I have my family and myself use a blend of oils to help when we feel a cold coming on. I mix a drop of Thieves, a drop of Frankincense, a squeeze of Sinus Oregano (a sinus nasal spray) and a little carrier oil.

I mix with a cotton swab then swab one nostril, take another swab or other end of first swab mix in oil bend swab other nostril then sniff. Sometimes burning occurs then I take plain carrier oil rub under nose. Continue this process twice a day until feel better.

The colds we have are less in duration and intensity or don't seem to develop. My daughter gets severe bronchitis at least twice a year, each episode lasts at least 2-3 weeks. We started swabbing as soon as we heard the cough. We have only tried it twice with her cough, but both times she felt better the next day and cough was very mild and lasted less than a week.

No antibiotics the last two times 'yeah' caught it in time. So if our sniffles start, skin irritation we sometimes feel right before a cold breaks out, or a cough develops we swab and sniff.
