The son of a friend had a blood clot that extended down the side of his leg from hip to knee. The affected leg was double the size of his other. He was seeing a doctor and had been given increasing doses of cumadin up to a current dose of 20 mgs. This had been going on for nine months with no improvement and his mother was concerned about internal bleeding from that much cumadin.
