Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

My husband was in a motor vehicle accident on March 15, 2011. His car was "t-boned" on the drivers side by an SUV traveling 40 mph. The driver of the SUV never hit his brakes. My husband was wearing his seat belt and upon impact, the roof airbag deployed.

He was taken to the emergency department by ambulance. He had a chest x-ray and CT scan to rule out a ruptured spleen or lacerated liver, he was diagnosed with a fracture of his 9th left rib. He was discharged and given a prescription for narcotic pain pills.

On the way home he told me he didn't want to take those drugs. So, when we got home I applied the PanAway oil blend 2-4 drops and Wintergreen 2-4 drops on the rib fracture. He went to bed and slept surprisingly well.

I did the same regimen the next morning. We have applied the oils once in the am and once at bedtime all week. Today (6 days later) he describes his pain as "sore" with an occasional spasm. People who have had rib fractures are AMAZED at how he feels.

I can only attribute his amazing recovery to Young Living essential oils. Because that is all we have used. No ibuprofen, no aspirin, and no narcotics!! I will continue this same regimen for the next several weeks until his soreness and spasm subside.

Oh, did I happen to mention that he is, I mean was very skeptical of my essential oils. Today he told me "I'm beginning to believe that these oils work." Young Living oils, nothing short of incredible!!!

Peppermint oil solution administered intraluminally can be used as an antispasmodic agent with superior efficacy and fewer side effects than hyoscine-N-butylbromide...."Link
2.Associated topics: muscle-spasm — "Lavender essential oil has been used as an anxiolytic [anxiety] drug, a mood stabilizer, a sedative, spasmolytic [muscle spasms], antihypertensive [high blood pressure], antimicrobial, analgesic [pain] agent as well as a wound healing accelerator.... The present study suggests that inhalation of lavender essential oil may be an effective and safe treatment modality in acute management of migraine headaches."Link
3.Associated topics: bones — "Common herbs, essential oils, and monoterpenes potently modulate bone metabolism.... we investigated several common herbs rich in essential oils (sage, rosemary, and thyme) and essential oils extracted from these herbs and other plants (oils of sage, rosemary, juniper, pine, dwarf pine, turpentine, and eucalyptus) as well as their monoterpene components (thujone, eucalyptol, camphor, borneol, thymol, alpha-pinene, beta-pinene, bornylacetate as well as menthol) and found that they inhibit bone resorption.... Our study demonstrates for the first time that essential oils and monoterpenes are efficient inhibitors of bone resorption...."Link
4.Associated topics: bones — "Results of bone density, bone mineral content, bone tensile strength and histological analysis also showed similar trend of results, which supported initial observations of this study. It is proposed that hydroalcoholic extract of dried clove buds has bone-preserving efficacy against hypogonadal [hormonally deficient] osteoporosis."Link
5.Associated topics: muscle-spasm — "Anti-inflammatory, spasmolytic [muscle spasms], antimicrobial, antioxidant, carminative [flatulence] and immunomodulatory properties of caraway suggest that it might exert beneficial effects on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).... CHE and CEO [caraway essential oil] at all doses tested were effective in reducing colon tissue lesions and colitis indices and the efficacy was nearly the same when different doses of plant fractions were administered p.o. or i.p..... These data suggest that caraway fractions are both effective and possess anti-colitic activity irrespective of the dose and route of administration."Link
6.Associated topics: muscle-spasm — "[T]he effect of essential oils on skeletal and smooth muscle...: The first type of effect on skeletal muscle involved a contracture and inhibition of the twitch response to nerve stimulation shown by a sample of clary sage, dill, fennel, frankincense, and nutmeg; ...lavender reduced the twitch response alone."Link
