My son Michael, age 13, had a badly ingrown toenail and when I took him to the doctor for his basketball physical. He said that they might need to remove part of the nail. I said that I wanted to use essential oils first to see if we could avoid the nail removal procedure. I used purification, melrose and lavender on his toe for a period of two weeks twice a day and had him soak his foot every other day during this period. He no longer has an ingrown toenail and his doctor is impressed that he didn't need to take the anti-biotics that he prescribed either.
