Smashed finger with hammer

While hanging a picture I smashed my left index finger with the hammer and I was hammering very hard. I immediatly applied an icecube to stop the throbbing, swelling, bruising but the ice only intensified the pain so bad that after about a minute I gave up Then I tried the Lavender oil. I only applied a drop, rubbed it on the nail and the pad of my finger and almost immediately the pain was gone. Here's the best part though. I was dreading the bruised/black nail and the sensitivity that goes along with that, but I had nothing. No mark on my nail, no bruising, no tenderness, no throbbing, nothing. The next day I couldn't even tell I had smashed my finger with the hammer. I can't remember but I may have applied one more drop of Lavender that night, but still, two drops of Lavender and my finger was great the next day!
