Stopping my diet Coke addiction

I'm fairly new to the oils but have watched them make a profound impact on my life, as well as my children, grandchildren, and friends lives as well. Diet Coke was my addiction. I would drink at least 6 a day, cold in the can. Sometimes more. I know how bad they are for you, but I was just so addicted to it.

I decided I wanted to try to really 'walk my talk' and try to get healthier by using the oils and making some changes for my health. My first step was to drink more water. Since I work a day job I decided on a plan. I put 8 pennies on my desk. Each time I drink a glass of water I move one penny off the pile. When I have moved all 8 pennies, I know I have finished my gallon of water and can have a diet coke if I want to. To include the oils, I put one drop of PEPPERMINT in my water bottle (which holds 16 oz of water). I never drink the water without the PEPPERMINT.

After a couple days of running to the bathroom every other glass, I started to notice that it was very easy to get my water finished and I wasn't missing the diet coke! I could go all day without one by the 3rd day, and I began to drink more water with PEPPERMINT when I got home from work (where I would ususally drink 3 diet cokes).

One day I tried to 'mix it up' by putting Citrus Fresh in my water instead of the Peppermint, but it made me run to the bathroom so much that I joked that I was going to have to move my desk in the ladies room!

I'm now almost completely free of carbonated drinks, and I cannot believe how EASY it was to do it with the oils. They truly are a gift from God.
