My son flipped over his bike on Saturday afternoon. He landed on his face. He was immediately swollen and had abrasions around his eye and cheekbone. We took him to the emergency room and after finding out, (Thank God) that he didnt have a concussion or a broken orbital bone, just a hematoma and abrasions, we went home.

We continued with icing it 20 minutes on, 20-40 minutes off and gave him motrin. In the morning, I jumped on this website to find out what was the best oil to use. I started using the Lavender oil. I applied it 5 times the first and second day. Within the first 24 hours of using the oil, the swelling was 95% gone. After that I used the oil on him only twice a day. By Saturday, one week later, all the scabs had fallen off on their own! I am continuing to use the oils until his skin looks normal.

My son suffers from Vitiligo and I am hoping that the oil will also prevent the cells from killing off the melatonin! Hopefully he won't have white spots where the abrasions were! To be continued!
