Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

My 5 year old grandson came down with Rotavirus. At first we thought it was just a 12-24 hour bug, but quickly realized it was more serious. He could not even keep down the tiniest amount of liquid and therefore lost 5 pounds in 28 hours. He was severely dehydrated.

When I arrived at my daughter's after 28 hours, he was so weak he could not walk. So I diluted NingXia Red juice in a little water and put 5 drops under his tongue every 5 minutes, increasing the drops each time. I also applied essential oils to the bottom of his feet every 5 minutes. I used all the oils I had and rotated them.

After about 3 hours, he had about a cup and a half of diluted NingXia Red and kept it down. After visiting the clinic, the doctor said it would have to run its course. I took him home and continued using the NingXia Red and applying the oils.

By the next day, he was eating and back to playing.

Supporting Scientific Studies
1.Associated topics: virus — "The presence of beta-caryophyllene in many essential oils might contribute strongly to their antiviral ability. These results indicate that phenylpropanoids and sesquiterpenes present in essential oils contribute to their antiviral activity against HSV [herpes simplex virus]."Link
2.Associated topics: virus — "Taken together, we found an essential oil blend [Orange, Clove, Cinnamon Bark, Eucalyptus, and Rosemary] notably attenuates influenza virus PR8 infection in vitro via inhibition of viral protein synthesis at the post-transcription level. The lack of toxicity and potent specific inhibition ability make the essential oil a possible antiviral drug for influenza virus proliferation control and treatment."Link
3.Associated topics: virus — "Tea tree oil (TTO) (Melaleuca alternifolia) has been used recently as an effective topical application for the treatment of skin infections due to a variety of aetiological microbial agents, including mainly bacterial infections. We detail... the successful treatment with TTO of a paediatric patient with warts on her right middle finger. TTO was applied topically once daily to the lesions for 12 days, with a successful outcome, including complete re-epithelization of the infected areas. The case highlights the potential use of TTO in the treatment of common warts due to human papilloma virus."Link
4.Associated topics: virus — "Essential oils from anise, hyssop, thyme, ginger, camomile and sandalwood were screened for their inhibitory effect against herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) [genital herpes]. A clearly dose-dependent virucidal activity against HSV-2 could be demonstrated for all essential oils tested. Chamomile oil exhibited a high selectivity index and seems to be a promising candidate for topical therapeutic application as virucidal agents for treatment of herpes genitalis."Link
5.Associated topics: vomiting-/-puking-/-throwing-up — "Ginger root reduced the tendency to vomiting and cold sweating significantly better than placebo did.... Remarkably fewer symptoms of nausea and vertigo were reported after ginger root ingestion...."Link
