Lavender & road rash from motorcycle accident

In 2005 my husband and I were in a bad motorcycle accident. I ended up with severe “road rash” (deep cuts and scrapes) on my lower back. They were bright red and stung like crazy. My mom applied Lavender Essential Oil. To my amazement the stinging topped within a few minutes and the redness had minimized greatly within the first 20 minutes. I kept applying the Lavender throughout the day for the next couple of weeks.

As you know, when you have cuts and scrapes they can itch as they start scabbing over, but I found that the Lavender even helped with that. My husband and I were amazed at the end results from using the Lavender Essential Oil - I barely had any visible scarring! I ran out of the Lavender before I was done healing, but I truly believe that the scarring would have been even less visible if I had not ran out of the Lavender.
