My 4 year old son was in contact with a child who later became symptomatic with hand, foot and mouth disease. 2-3 weeks later he developed some pain while chewing. Thereafter I found several pustules in his mouth and knew he had contracted the virus.

We began a regimen of Melrose applied to the back in morning, Clove at noon, and Thieves at night, all diluted 5-1 in olive oil. We began this on both our children. The disease was classified as "mild" by our pediatrician 2 days later and in less than a week was gone completely. Our daughter never became symptomatic.

Other children in contact with this strain had pustules so severe they were unable to eat solid food. We believe Essential oils made the difference.
