Lemongrass shortened healing time for finger jam

I jammed my ring finger playing basketball and had to remove my wedding ring due to swelling. It took 6 months for my ring to be able to fit again due to residual swelling. (As a Physical Therapist, I've noted this lingering pain/swelling to be common in the fingers due to the relative inability to rest the affected area)

Sometime later I jammed my thumb in a similar manner. I applied lemongrass oil (diluted 5-1 in carrier oil) daily for 2-3 weeks. This time the finger healed in less than a month with no pain or residual swelling noticeable.
