Flies that bug my horses

Horses: During the summertime, the small flies get to be quite a pain around my horses. Buying the products from the feed store that work to keep these bugs from 'bugging' my horses can be expensive or not work at all.

I called my upline, and asked if they knew of anything I could do to help my horses, and this is what we did. I got a spray bottle, and filled it 2/3 full with water. and approx. 1/3 with olive oil. Then I added 10 drops of Lavender and 3 drops of Oregano. I shook it bottle really well before spraying the horses. They didn't like it, but it worked. I also understand that Lavender Essential Oil works very well, so I will be trying that this summer!
