Sunburn made me raw like a tomato

It was around the second day of spring and I was enojoying the fine weather in Sydney whilst weeding my garden and didn't even feel myself getting burnt. I came in after an hour or so to find myself red raw like a tomato. I had a shower and immediately began applying Peppermint oil mixed with olive oil for the heat and pain and it was like applying an icepack... no pain!

Next morning I applied Lavender oil to heal the skin. I then mixed 3 drops of Lavender and 3 drops of Peppermint in 1/4 cup of Olive Oil as this was all I had in the house (V-6 carrier oil would be better I suspect). I applied this combination morning and night for the next few days. Until the pain and redness went away.

6 days after getting burnt my skin got quite dry and itchy (like peeling but without any real flaking of the skin like it usually would after sunburn) this was easliy solved by moisturising with an essential oils moisturiser and after two days of that my skin was softer than I have EVER felt it. All up it took around 8 days to completely heal.

I also had Acne on my back and this went away during this period too... I think I will continue usuing the Lavender for my acne as well!
