H1N1 suggestions

I recently was sick with H1N1. I'm a 35 year old mother who is healthy and gets sick next to never. I was shocked at the intensity of the symptoms, with a new upper respiratory region affected daily, 3 day fever (ranging from 99 to 102), the fatigue and the length of time to recover (9 days).

A visit to the doctor left me with a prescription for an inhaler and 2 rounds of antibiotics that I was to fill if symptoms got worse. Given my success with managing asthma with essential oil use I choose to see if I could handle the symptoms before taking the prescriptions. It was successful. This is what I did to help elevate H1N1 symptoms:

Sore throat: 1-2 drops of Thieves in 8-10oz glass of water. Soothed/coated throat.

Sinus pressure, plugged nose: 1 drop of RC on Q-tip swab in both nasal passages. Also used Neti pot with 1/4 tsp. salt and 1 dropper of neti-wash: Zinc and Herbs for Sinus Congestion and Immune Support Drops

Headache: Deep relief roll on applied to base of skull and either side of neck

Wheezing/ expectorant: 1 drop of RC to chest/ then 1 drop of peppermint or frankenscense. 2 tsp. of Bronchial Soothe Ivy Leaf Syrup

I was thankful to not have the virus turn into a bacterial infection...thank you oils!!
